SELECTION OF ART
Individualizing your board is what makes custom ordering part of the soul of surfing. When ordering you can choose from a list of common surfboard art styles, some of Roberts Squeegee Art creations with your color choices, or resin tints that can add another level of uniqueness to your board. You may also have some art ideas of your own.
For intricate or realistic art, we'll request a rendering or a sketch. We may request color swatches to get the colors matched as close as possible. At times certain graphics may look best by going through a digital printing process which reproduces your art exactly to be applied to the board during glassing.
For other art ideas check out some of the boards on Roberts Instagram. There you'll see some of Robert's personal abstract creations as well as other art examples that are shipping out to customers around the world. In the notes area of your order, simply tell us the date of the Instagram. If you want, you can give us other color combos than what's pictured.
When selecting a Squeegee Art style you'll choose Horizontal, Vertical, or Paneled making a note of which in the notes section of the order form. If there is a style from model page or particular Instagram date that you prefer let us know that as well. You'll also need to include a choice of 2 or 3 colors. If 3 colors having one of them being Black or Gray helps keep the colors from turning muddy. If that might be the case, we'll let you know before we proceed.
