SURFBOARDS > DREAM MAKER |
DESCRIPTIONThe Dream Maker is a magic design with the unbelievable powers of speed and maneuverability in small surf. From the Dreamcatcher, we kept its rockers, forward surface area, and thickness flow so that the Dream Maker catches waves just as easily and has plenty of glide. Additional width to the outline gives it flow and acceleration in small or flat faced waves. The Dream Maker has a single to double concave bottom for control and lift with some added vee in the last few inches of the tail. The vee gives the board more release off the tail while thinning the squash tail corners for extra holding power. By going with a squash tail, it gives the board more planning surface in the back for more sustained speed and glide in smaller softer surf.

HOW TO SIZE THIS BOARDCompared to a Dreamcatcher go 1” shorter and 3/8” wider in the same thickness. Sized from a WD, WD2 or similar ride in the same length. Use the same thickness and volume or slightly more for even easier wave catching ability. For width go up to 1/8" narrower to add sensitivity. Comparing to a pro model shortboard go 2-5" shorter, up to 7/8" wider and same to 1/16 thicker for a slightly higher volume. For a high performance approach based on your height, aim for about the same length to as much as 4” shorter as you are tall, matching volume to skill level, needs, or preferences.
