DESCRIPTION

The Cruzee is a high performance grom model designed for Roberts team rider Cruz Dinofa. Cruz’s first real board was a White Diamond. The wider outline of the White Diamond makes it a stable platform for groms while they’re learning to make the drop and get down the line. As a grom progresses to using the rails of their board to generate speed, moving to a narrower lighter board is the next natural step in their progression. They need a board that lets them take advantage of their lighter weight and agility while taking in consideration their strengths and weaknesses.

The Cruzee has been ridden in a wide range of conditions around the world so it is very capable over reef as it is in normal beach break. The Cruzee rockers are kept fairly tame to give the board speed and still be nimble while the nose has some flip in the last few inches to help prevent pearling. The rails are thin to allow easy turning while the deck is kept fairly flat to aid in stability. The bottom contours are subtle with a light single concave leading into a double concave in the tail to help the board release while being controllable. The idea in mind behind the Cruzee design is not to just shrink a pro board down. We’ve created a board for groms to enhance their strengths while helping their surfing grow stronger.

Groms come in all kinds of shapes and sizes as well as experience levels. The sizing for a first shortboard will be different than a NSSA grom's.
